2026 Youth Advisory Committee Application

Applications for the 2026-27 Youth Advisory Committee are now open!

The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) brings together 20-25 students from across Emmet County in grades 8-12. Students entering grades 8 through 11 in the 2026-27 school year are encouraged to apply.

YAC empowers young people to serve as decision-makers and leaders in their community. Members promote positive youth development while gaining hands-on experience in philanthropy and volunteerism. As advisors to the Fund for Youth, YAC participants review grant applications twice each year and recommend funding awards that support programs benefiting local young people and families.

Throughout the school year, members also participate in meaningful service projects and have opportunities to connect with youth leaders across the state through the Council of Michigan Foundations.
