Investing in Housing in Emmet County

Attainable housing continues to be a critical issue we’re dedicated to solving.

Continuing our commitment to housing, the Community Foundation purchased the former Hankey Lumber parcel in Petoskey in May 2022. With the property preserved for workforce housing, the Community Foundation continues to work alongside Haan Development of Harbor Springs and Northern Homes Community Development Corporation to advance the 60-apartment Lofts at Lumber Square development, slated for a Summer 2023 groundbreaking.
