Charlevoix County Community Foundation and Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation invite nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and municipalities to submit grant requests to put local charitable dollars to work in Charlevoix and Emmet counties.  Please call Sara to discuss your grant request and to receive the application.

Grant applications to support arts and culture, education, the environment, community and economic development, health and human services, recreation and youth are available by calling the respective community foundation office. All applicants must call to discuss their proposals in advance. Eligible nonprofit organizations must serve residents of Charlevoix County or Emmet County and work to enrich or improve life for local residents in some way. The deadline for submission is March 1, 2012.  Applications will be reviewed by adult community members and youth advisory committee members and recommendations will be reviewed by the respective Boards of Trustees.

The community foundations accept resources from donors and then use a portion of the income earned from the investment of these gifts to help foster positive change in our area. In this way, our donors’ contributions meet our community needs, now and in the future – For good. For ever.®
